I might seem a little anal retentive, and I am, but I want this event to be an exercise to make us better as an organization. The Fall Crawl is small; the Jazz Festival in the spring ,however, is not.
If we all do our job, it should be very easy. For Example: The person labeled "sound engineer" might simply be turning one or two knobs all night (hopefully), but the more serious we are about our individual jobs the more we will learn from this and the better our event will be.
Everyone in MIO will participate, so take a second and look over the list of jobs available and see if something sounds cool. You have to do something, so might as well make it interesting. This is your chance to get real experience putting on a concert in a relatively low pressure situation.
On wednesday I will have a form for you to write the two jobs you find most interesting and I will create a solid list for the next wednesday. If you don't come to the meeting this upcoming wednesday and tell me what you want, Ian will come around and hit you on the head with a tack hammer...
If you can think of any job I have forgotten, let me know.
See you guys wednesday!
Casey
