Hey guys! If you havent yet, please choose a committee head! It should be a person who is able to attend all meetings, so that we can stay on the same page and know what you've been up to!!
I will send everyone in this committee an email with the sponsorship committment form and benefit's attached. You will need to print and make a lot of copies of these. Then you will begin searching for sponsors.
In the past we have had large sponsors such as the Richmond Area Arts Council and Time Warner. These are the kind of sponsors we need first and foremost because this thing is gonna take MONEY! Ask a member who has been in the organization for a while and they should be able to tell you where to start.
Also go to local businesses, drive around and see if any new businesses are open who might like the publicity. Also, you do not only have to ask for a money donation. An organization on campus had My Time Coffee and Tea set up a booth and sell coffee to their guests. We could possibly get a music store to donate amps or microphones for the show. Pretty much, anything we can get for free is a sponsorship.
You need to start this NOW, because we will need money to print tickets, pay for advertising, pay the bands, buy the food, etc.
